Society’s Local Harmonic Network

Society’s Local Harmonic Network is a telescopic refractor and amplifier of local arts and artists. It is a hybrid entity composed of a digital platform, artist cooperative, and crowdsourced database built for creating connection and collaboration in the real world. The spirit and principles of Society’s Local Harmonic Network are informed by the radical collectivist work done by DIY spaces and mutual aid groups.

What does SLHN make possible? Opportunity, access, meaningful connection, networking, and visibility for local artists, creators and collectives.

Why artists and creators? Artists’ and creators’ work is often undervalued. The demographics of artists and creators tend to represent a high percentage of intersecting communities that are at greater risk for poverty, systemic violence, and a lack of educational and employment opportunities (ex. BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, and immigrants).
